This project came about after my classmates and I saw a need for something more visual to explain design terms to the underclassmen while also giving them inspiration for their own work. As this was a group project, we each did our own accordion fold book, each on a different topic but made it so it would work as a series. The topic I chose was Hierarchy because of how crucial it is in any design project. Under Hierarchy I chose three words to define that each could be used to create hierarchy: Weight, Color and Scale. Within each word I tried to show varied examples of each word that create hierarchy. On the final larger poster, I tried to make a culmination of everything in the entire book. The accordion fold itself was made up of the actual definition in words and allowed readers to flip open to the poster so that the word could be visually explained.
