What started out as an idea between myself and fellow student/designer Hiro Fujita turned into a semester long project between the two of us. The idea behind the project was to create a package design for a six pack of beer that would also include everything needed to play beer pong. The package itself is a triangular shape so that the user can simply remove the top and beer bottles so that the game would be all set up to go. The package includes six cups, six different craft beers and three pong balls. The brand concept behind the fictional product was that this was made for the consumer who is no longer in college but still wants to play. The reasoning behind this target audience was that Hiro and I decided we wanted to make a product that would not only be a fun experience but an experience in quality beer tasting. The packaging and quality craft beer would lead to a slightly more expensive product so we wanted to target it at an audience that has no time to buy all the materials, but wants and enjoys a better quality beer at a premium and enjoys trying new things.
